Our core procedures, safeguarding guides, roles and responsibilities and protocols.

Cumbria Safeguarding Children Partnership Procedures Manual is divided into distinct areas:

• core procedures (what to do)
• safeguarding guides (safeguarding children practice guidance)
• learning and improvement (Learning and Improvement Strategy, SCRs, CDOP etc)
• roles and responsibilities of CSCP (inc. Conflict Resolution Policy and Guidance for Safe Recruitment)
• appendices and protocols (local and national documents plus user guidance)
• documents library (risk tools, forms, local protocols, practice guidance and models of practice)

New manuals, specifically for each of the new Safeguarding Children Partnerships, will be launched in February 2026. In the meantime, please continue to use the Cumbria wide multi-agency procedures and guidance available via the link above.
