Safeguarding

There’s a special guide made just for children and young people that explains how adults work together to help, support and protect you.

It’s called Working Together to Safeguard Children – and this version uses simple words and fun pictures especially for young people.

It shows how people like teachers, social workers, doctors and the police all team up to keep children safe and happy.

You can read the Working Together Guidance (PDF , 3MB) yourself if you want to learn more about how adults are here to help you.

There’s also a short, animated video made by the Department for Education that helps explain how adults and different organisations work together to keep children safe.

The video shows how people like teachers, doctors, social workers, and police all team up and share information to make sure you’re safe, listened to, and supported.

It’s a great way to learn more about how adults work together to protect children and young people like you. You can see the video below.
